HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS
Since Holy Family Academy is not a member of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA), students must find alternative schools to play for.
PUBLIC SCHOOLS: According to Act No. 715. in order for a home study student to participate in public high school athletics, they must notify the school within the first 10 days of the school year that they are interested in joining or trying out for a particular sport. The student must also be in the attendance zone of the school.
If a student fulfills the above requirements and makes the team, an athletic folder will be created with required LHSAA paperwork. Additionally, the school must have on file an updated physical and a copy of their birth certificate. Transcripts and grades must also be included in the folder.
Please contact the public school of your residence directly for more information.
PRIVATE SCHOOLS: Currently, all home study high school students are welcome to try out at Christ Episcopal School (CES). Please contact CES directly for more information.
